Inevitably, we run out of time. We think we have all the time in the world and we’re right. There is, however, going to be the last minute and our time will be ended in this world.
What are you doing with the time you have?
According to information from 2020-2022, in the UK the average life expectancy of a woman is roughly 82.6 years. For a man, it is 78.6 years. For me, that means I have a couple of decades left. Is that sobering? Does it focus my attention to what I am able to accomplish and what legacy I can leave in the next 20 years?
Though I intend to live beyond the average life expectancy of a woman in the UK, it is not guaranteed.
The Good News is that even though time marches on and we all leave this mortal coil at some stage, opportunities for gentleness, kindness, joy, beauty, and creativity are available to us in every moment if we choose to be open to them.
Focus on the moment. What can you impact now? If you left the earth in the next minute, what would your legacy be? Perhaps, these are the questions to answer.
